Cookies and local storage
Cookies are small values a website can ask a browser to retain and return with requests. Local storage is a different browser mechanism: it keeps values on your device for scripts on the same origin. Both can be relevant to rules about storing or accessing information on a device.
The supplied site code sets no HTTP cookies and includes no analytics or advertising trackers. The preference controls below use local storage only to remember your selected storage choice. Accepting does not activate any optional tracking because none is currently implemented.
The preference record
| Key | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| polarbrowsecomet-cookie-choice | Stores “accepted” or “essential” on this browser and origin. | Until changed or cleared through browser settings. |
Your choice
You can change the saved choice at any time. Both options leave the editorial pages and notebook available. If your browser blocks storage, your choice cannot be retained.
No preference has been checked yet.
What is not stored
The contact notebook does not place your draft, name or email address in local storage. It creates a preview in the page's memory. Copies and downloaded files are created only when requested and remain outside this preference record. Browser autofill or recovery features operate separately from this site's script.
Clearing site data
Your browser's privacy or site settings let you inspect and remove cookies and local storage for polarbrowsecomet.rest. Clearing this site's storage removes the saved preference. Private browsing, device changes and different browsers may also mean your earlier choice is unavailable.
Questions and changes
If optional technologies are introduced, this notice and the relevant choice mechanisms should be updated before they are used where consent is required. Read the privacy notice for information about connection logs and correspondence, or email [email protected].
